2 - Gertrude Käsebier


The Red Man. *1852 – †1934. American Pictorialism.

Käsebier started as a portrait painter. Well known for her portraits of Native Americans and documenting scenes of motherhood. Published several pictures in the early editions of Camera Work, which was published and founded by Alfred Stieglitz. After a long lasting cooperation with Stieglitz, she was one of the founders of the Pictorial Photographers of America group.
